Happy Tuesday! Grab your coffee -
Today I am blogging about family. Family is a big deal in my heart. Therefore, there's not a better way to start off my blog. Family is different for everyone. To me family has a couple different definitions. Family is of course your blood relatives and these people are oh so special to me. In our family we always say life takes a tribe. What we mean by this is that life is hard to get through alone and these special people in our tribe help us out when we need them. This last weekend we had a fourth of July party and let me tell you, it would not have happened without our family. We did a bunch of stuff to the yard to get it party ready and everyone in the family was there to help out. It makes me teary thinking about people that do not have a family they know they can call for anything. My family will be your family(: Which brings me to my other view on family. Friends that turn into family. These family members are extra special – because they don’t have to put up with you, they choose to. I am so grateful for my group of friends that I’ve known since I was two years old that have turned into my cousins. There has been nothing, neither big, nor small that we have missed in each other’s lives since. When I think of my Family the next word I think of is grateful, because I can’t say enough how absolutely grateful I am for my support group that is there to celebrate the happy times and there to help us through the difficult.
Let me introduce you to my family:
I have two brothers, Colby and Cameron, which mean the world to me. Do they also drive me crazy at times? Yes- but that’s what family does right? My mom is my best friend and is consistently mistaken for my sister, my dad was always my protector and yes I still believe he knows everything (: I know that my parents would do anything for me and have taught me what life is all about. My husband Matt is the sweetest, most sincere person that I have ever known, and I have three grandparents that I am so honored to be apart of my life. Matt’s parents – yay I have in laws now that have truly welcomed me into their family with open arms.
I did not grow up with sisters, but lucky enough for me I now have two sister in laws, Nicole- Matt’s sister, and Karryssa, my brother’s fiancé. I cannot wait for your guys wedding!!!
and I can't forget our puppy son , Dray
