What's Ahead....

Good Morning all,
Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Is anyone else excited for fall? I have always loved fall, but these last couple of years I have been in LOVE with fall. Might I even say more than summer....... I know it's crazy, growing up summer was always my favorite. Maybe it was because I always had summer off, my birthday month was in summer, and fourth of July. I have a long list of favorites.

These past years I have found so much joy in the colors, the weather, and the special feeling that fall brings. I love the scents of fall, yesterday I even bought my first fall candle. I'll let my last summer scent finish burning and then my house will officially, a month early already be smelling like fall. I'll let you know how it smells.... but for now I'll link it here.

Baking is one of my favorite hobbies!!! For some reason there is nothing like baking in the fall and winter. During the warmer months the oven being on is just too much. And the baking smell just adds on to the great smell of fall so much better than summer.

Matt and I started a new tradition of visiting Apple Hill last fall and since we left I have been ready to go back. It was absolutely adorable. I felt like I was in a hallmark movie. The little town was just so quaint. There was apple anything you can imagine... doughnuts, pie, wine, jams, beer, and so much more. I might even talk Matt into going twice this year!!!(:

Lastly, I am really excited for football. I can not believe I just wrote that. Last season our family was all apart of this fantasty league that my brother started. Every weekend we took turns going over to each others houses watching and rooting for our players. It was fun being together every weekend, having yummy food, and being all cuddles up inside!!! I hope this is a tradition we keep FOREVER!!

What fall traditions are you looking forward to?

Thanks for checking in,

Friday Favorites

Good morning!!!! Happy Friday, hope you all have a nice weekend ahead. I can't believe it is already August. This summer is flying by. Who's ready for clean crisp mornings, hot chocolate, and those beautiful fall colors? ME, ME, I am!!!!!! Today I am going to share a few items I am loving lately.

These Formula 10.6 make up remover wipes are amazing!!!! I usually use the nuetrogena make up wipes, but I found them to leave quite a bit of oil residue after. Since I already have oily skin thats the last thing I want to do to my face to add more oil. These have a fresh clean scent, they do not irritate my skin and completely remove your make up. I still go in with a cleanser after, but they do the job of getting make up off.
My hair is always hard to detangle after a long day of curls, this Wet brush works wonders on wet and dry hair. It is so gentle and successful getting those tough knots out without leaving your head sore for the rest of the day. This is also great when brushing through your hair after you have been in the pool.
This candle is such a fresh and sweet scent. Candles are always a treat to have burning in your house, and for summer time this Seaside Gardenia is going to make you feel like you are outside enjoying a nice day at the beach.
Carmex has been a life saver this summer, I naturally have dry lips, and when you add the sun into the equation my lips are a hot mess. This lip balm has been going EVERYWHERE with me. I even put it on top of lipstick and my lips feel so much better. If you have this same issue, go get yourself some Carmex!!!

Last, but not least, my little brother is starting High School this week...... It's not really happening right!? On Tuesday I was lucky enough to go with him to get his I.D. card and his schedule. I feel like it was just yesterday It was my freshmen year. It is such a fun and exciting time in his life and I can't wait to see how well he does. I am one PROUD sister!!

Have a great weekend, Talk to you Monday!!!

signature color

I was taught at a very young age, by my grandma, that everyone has a signature color. side note: whenever I read the word signature color I can hear Julia Roberts saying it. Anyways, I feel like you have many signature colors through life. When I was little my signature color was Purple. Purple walls, purple bed, purple toys, purple blanket, everything was PURPLE.

I am not sure when this changed for me, but it had to have been within the last five years because every bed spread I can think of through my childhood until I moved out on my own was purple. I still like purple, but I do not see it as the calm color I remember it to be. I find it loud and aggressive.

I now have two signature colors, Light blue and white. When I look through Pinterest, everything that catches my eye are usually these colors. House decorations, Diys, back splashes, Kitchens and so on. So today you are going to see everything Blue and white that I am currently crushing on. Blue and white are so clean, airy, bright, and calming. I can never get enough of these colors. Below are a few images that take me to my happy place.

This looks like a door I could have found in Italy
These flowers are so perfect.. It's love

This would be so pretty as a backsplash in a kitchen or bathroom
I have been day dreaming about being by a pool (:
I just want to walk into through this door, Honey I'm Home... ahahah someday
This shower was made for a mermaid!

What color makes your heart happy?
It may just be your signature color.

P.s. Isn't it ironic that all of my signature colors at the time I described as calming, that may be a favorite feeling of mine (:

My Current Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie

Good Morning all,
Today I am going to be sharing with you all, my current favorite cookie recipe that I fell in love with from food network.  I say current because I LOVE chocolate chip cookies and I am always changing which one is my favorite. These particular chocolate chip cookies are chewy and thats just how I like them. These are great to make before you are having company over or if you are going to be bringing these over to a friend's or a family members house, because this recipe yields about 3 servings. If you're anything like me, having three servings of chewy chocolate chip cookies in your house is just a recipe for disaster (:

Lets get our hands chocolatey .......

Here is what you'll need:

2/3 cup (1 1/3 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup firmly-packed dark brown sugar

1 large egg, room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

One 6-ounce package semisweet chocolate chips... and if you're like me you can add a little more (;

Set your oven to 350 degrees and get your oven sheet ready, these pre cut parchment paper are perfect for your cookies and makes the clean up so much easier.

Now you're ready to get those yummy cookies mixed up. With your electric mixer, mix together the egg, butter, granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, and Vanilla. You've completed mixing once your ingredients are smooth and creamy.
Next, grab a medium sized bowl add your flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix all of these ingredients together. Once these are all combined, slowly add the dry ingredients to the ingredients in the electric mixture. While doing this, make sure it is all folded in nicely. When you have completely added the dry mixture from the medium bowl begin stirring in your chocolate chips.

Now you're ready to place them on your cookie sheet. You can use an ice cream scooper to easily get the same shape for your cookies or you can use a spoon and then roll your dough into a ball shape.

Once you have all your cookies on your baking sheet and your oven is pre-heated the cookies are ready to be put in the oven for that heavenly smell that makes everyone feel so warm inside.

These are best when placed on a rack to cool and then stored in an air tight container.
Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!!!

I would love to try out your favorite chocolate chip recipes as well, if you have one send me the link or recipe below.

I have a favorite double chocolate chip cookie recipe that I will be sharing during christmas time. Don't forget to check it out, you won't want to miss it (:

Weekend Review

Good evening, sorry I wasn't able to chat with you all yesterday my schedule got changed up a little and I am finding a different time to get in touch with you today (:

WOOOOH... was this a fun weekend, tiring, but FUN!!!!

Saturday we went wine tasting for my friend Summer's 21st birthday. We had the best time. At about noon we were picked up in a limo from her moms house and we headed out to the first winery called Michael David. This winery was one of my favorites; from there we went to a winery called Van Ruiten Family Vineyards. We had their wine at our wedding! We then proceeded to visit two more wineries. It was a lot of fun wine tasting, and being with my friend Summer on her first wine tasting extravaganza was just the best.

We got home and went to check on our little buddy Dray. He was wiped out from a fun day with his cousin Marley!! We fed Dray and then headed to the Commons downtown with Summer and her fiancé Matt. I was so tired from the day we got home around 8 and I went straight to sleep.

Sunday morning we woke up and took Dray to a dog park that Summer and Matt recommended. It was the cutest thing ever and Dray had the best time. I think Dray started the party when he got there. It was so adorable to see all the different kind of breeds and all of their cute personalities. Dray decided to find the one little puddle in the huge dog park and lay in it, so lucky for him he got a bath after and now smells GREAT!!!

After Dray dried off we headed to my grandparents for a BBQ. My grandpa has been telling us for months that he could make amazing ribs, we had no doubt, but we had to put him to the test (: The ribs were everything he promised and more. I loved watching the excitement he got from teaching Matt how to make them and to see how much everybody enjoyed them. We decided we need to do family dinners every Sunday.

If you have any 21st birthdays coming up or house warming parties, check out this pineapple wine bottle I made.
That was our weekend, hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

This is how we are feeling after the weekend... ready for the next (:

All About Dray on His Adoption Day

On July 22, 2015, one year ago today... We fell in love with a little Goldie.
Dray was a little scared, and this made his dad scared. Matt was a little worried he didn't like us.
These first few nights were a little crazy. I thought I was never going to sleep again! I was starting to wonder if I could ever take a shower in peace without worrying what was going to be torn up when I got out. I started questioning our decision, what was I thinking? How do people do this? Those days are so funny to look back on now, and they seem so much more than a year ago. We sometimes wish we could see that little ball of gold so tiny one more time. Life is funny how when you look back you seem to forget all the bad. Pretty soon we will be saying Dray a crazy puppy? No way, he was perfect.

Dray loves to cuddle, It is our favorite hobby as well. LOL Cuddling with Dray!!!!
Dray and his uncle Colby
This is so crazy, he used to be able to sit on my lap in the car, now he takes up the whole back seat.

Dray doesn't like when daddy leaves for work.

Dray loves to play especially with his cousins!!! They play until they are so wiped out they can barely lift their little heads.

Now He is way bigger than Mar Mar

Dray being a terror... hahah
That one time he tore up his bed...
This is my girlfriend Kona, hahaha

Barktoberfest with diesel and Argo was the cutest thing ever.

Dray loved his first fall!!!
He didn't really like Halloween, he thought his costume was no fun and did not understand why all the people ringing our door bell weren't coming inside to play.

Dray did in fact Love christmas time, he picked up a new hobby his parents did not enjoy, DIGGING. We are still trying to break the habit. He loves watching the rain through the windows!
snuggling up in a bed WAY to small for him, he made do.
He LOVED The snow!!!!

His favorite Saturday activities are going for walks and going to Nana's for breakfast. Walking has been a work in progress. When I thought of everything I wanted to teach my puppy, how to go on walks was never one of them. Boy was I caught off guard. First we could not wait for Dray to get all of his shots so we could finally take him for walks and get his high energy little self tired. Then when the time came and we saw how he wanted to go in every direction but straight. Dray also loved to jump on people after he had just rolled in the mud... We started to dread these walks that Dray LOVED. He was so strong that I could barely control him. Little by little he grew up, became better mannered and we got him a harness(this helped wonders). Dray and I both love walks now. Last week on our daily walk we met another golden that was adopted from Asia. This sweet little boy was beaten so bad from his previous owners that he is now blind. The first thing Dray did was walk up to him and give him kisses on the eyes, it was so heart warming.

He will pick up anything he can to greet you!
and will do anything for a butt rub

When Matt is not home he will go grab his clothes to lay with. So sweet.
Dray especially likes when dad lets him chew on his bat teaches him to swing a bat. LOL
Dray is now ONE!!! We can't wait for another year with the sweetest pup around, we love his funny personality and cherish him everyday.

watch him grow...

Have a great weekend
